Season of Change

I hate this shot. A picture is worth a thousand words and this picture bugs me because it says that the women of this generation are pro-abortion, focused and confident.

The older woman is obviously conservative and her eyes are not fixed on the camera, so she looks kinda clueless. Her hair is all blown and she looks tired. Says weak and scattered.

This is not how I see the battle, the people and the issue. But the photographer has captured a Pro-choice shot here. I rarely see the Pro-lifers in positive strong shots like this in the media.

I don't get how Planned Parenthood supports the "right" of a teenager to have sex when they "feel" they are ready (could be even younger than teen if they "feel" they are ready). Then they wrestle the New Hampshire Legislature in court because teens that get pregnant are in danger of serious events occuring.

"The unfortunate reality is that some pregnant teens experience serious medical emergencies for which the appropriate care is indeed abortion. ... Delaying appropriate care for even a very short period can be catastrophic, and puts the teen at risk of liver damage, kidney damage, stroke and infertility," said Jennifer Dalven, deputy director of the ACLU Reproductive Freedom Project, who argued the case for the respondents.

Ok, sounds contradictory to me. Not only that but the reality is that something like 3% of women who get abortions do so because of emergency life threatening reasons. So the big issue is that girls (underage) that "NEED" to get an abortion should have the "right" to without having to tell their parents.

The truth is the issue isn't at all about the life of the underage girl being saved. Its really about Planned Parenthood and NOW's political agenda to strengthen abortion.

"They could have enacted a law that contained the medical exception and we could have all gone home," Dalven said.

But when O’Connor asked whether Planned Parenthood would have been satisfied with an order from the lower court directing New Hampshire lawmakers to revise the act, Dalven said it wouldn’t. Planned Parenthood also charges that the act inadequately protects the privacy of minors and that the death exception is too narrow.

Its so weird, it's like the pro-choicers are saying, "Ok if we give you what you are asking for will you be happy? No? Oh, ok, what can we do to make you happy." They aren't really looking at reality of their arguement or real issues. Just the whole idea and value of the movement of Pro-choice and what that symbolizes.

A movement based on freedom and equality doesn't change the fact that murder and atrocities are taking place. Look at the Holocaust.

Oh yeah, did you know that Roe is now Pro-Life and she herself never had an abortion. Check it out on her page here.
